Crafting the Art of
Japanese Travel.
Our Legacy
Born in Shibuya.
Raised in the countryside.
Aaiwander began in a small studio in Tokyo with a vision far larger than its four walls. Founded by travel enthusiasts Kenji Sato and Yuri Tanaka, our mission was simple: to dismantle the "tourist bubble" and provide gateway access to the real Japan.
Today, we are a network of over 100 local artisans, temple monks, and master chefs across 45 prefectures. We don't just book hotels; we secure memberships in the Japanese way of life.

Our DNA
The Three Pillars
Hospitality
Omotenashi
Wholehearted hospitality that anticipates a guest's needs before they even arise. We treat every traveler not as a customer, but as a guest in our home.
Perfection
Kodawari
The uncompromising pursuit of perfection. From the selection of a ryokan to the timing of a tea ceremony, every detail is meticulously curated.
Bonds
Kizuna
Building enduring connections between our travelers and local artisans, monks, and families to foster true cross-cultural understanding.
